Welcome to Gassigns.org, the online collection of gasoline logos from photos and maps.
I began this project in 1996 by scanning some images of my small collection of roadmaps,
and photographing some of the gas stations I saw during my travels.
Since then, many people from all over the world have kindly donated photos, map scans, and
information about gas stations from their area. We are presenting them here for history's sake,
lest they be forgotten in the world of ever-changing gasoline brands.

Note: There is nothing for sale here. These are historical photos and information for reference only.

Technical notes: Because this site uses some large graphics, a screen size of at least 800x600 is
recommended to minimize the need to scroll left and right.

Most photos on this site are reduced to about 80-120 kb in size to reduce waiting time for my dialup visitors,
however some pages contain many photos, so please be patient if you have a slow connection!

Many people write to tell me about a sign or gas globe or other paraphernalia that they own and ask me what it might be worth. Truth is, I wouldn't know. My best suggestion if you have such a piece and want to sell it, is to visit Ebay, the online auction place. There are many,many gasoline items being sold weekly there and some for high dollar. The way to get there is to go to http://collectibles.ebay.com Then click on Advertising, then click on Gas and Oil. Then look through the hundreds of things on auction and get an idea of what similar items to yours are selling for.
