Vons Photos

Here are two photos of a Vons gas station at the Vons Market on Historic Route 66 (Foothill Blvd.) near Euclid Avenue in Montclair, California. The clock face and globe are non-functional, and were probably set up especially for this Route 66 location. The Vons Supermarket can be seen in the background.

Vons Grocery Company merged with Safeway Stores several years back. The stores in southern California are keeping their own identity, for now. But they do accept "Safeway Club" discount cards. Safeway started opening up market-lot gas stations in northern California, and Vons joined in, a little later, at a few select locations.
