San Ann Photos

SAN ANN.........This was a brand used by the Hughey companies in the
Jacksonville, FL area on a couple of stations. As far as I know this
SAN ANN had no relation to the much larger Alabama chain based in
Boaz, Ala. I have no idea why this name was used in Jacksonville on
just a couple of stations. Maybe Mr. Hughey was "testing" the name!!
The station was located on U. S. 1 north and the photo taken on a 1977
trip back to Florida. I did not see the brand during my last trip to
Jacksonville in 1995, but was not on US 1 north, so don't know if the
station is still there and if it is, what brand it might be today.
